It was gorgeous and foggy this morning. As luck would have it I arrived at the studio an hour early… So after setting Olivia up with a bully Stick (her FAAAAAVORITE) and bundling up in scarf and gloves… I headed out for a foggy adventure with my Nikon. Here are a few samples of a perfect fall day in Poulsbo. These and other scenic Poulsbo and Bainbridge Island images will soon be available at local shops (including ours) as handmade greeting cards and prints.
Well after just winding down from one auction, we are preparing for the next! Join Furrytale Farm at the Wing Point Country Club, this Saturday October 15th for their second annual auction! We are really excited to be participating in this event, considering the amazing service Furrytale provides to any pet that needs them. They truly do represent unconditional love to animals that have never known it. Go have a great dinner, a glass of wine, and buy something you would buy anyways (like maybe an awesome Pet Portrait Sitting for the holidays… It sure makes a great gift!!)
SUCCESS!!! The Animal Krackers Gala was a blast! I had a great time seeing all the wonderful donations, mingling, taking some photographs and of course, waiting for the exciting moment when our donations would be bid on in the live auction! Kristen (the brains behind the event) and I were thrilled as we watched the cover of the 2007 Kitsap Humane Society Calendar photo shoot auction off for a whopping $1000! But the real excitement came when the 2007 Animal Krackers Catalog Cover Portrait Sititng went on the block… Not $500, not $1000, not even $1500, but $2000 was the final price of this shoot!!! The only items that sold for more, were a week Safari in Africa (2,150$), and a seven day Holland America cruise ($2,250)!!!! We are thrilled to have been able to participate at this level, and let me tell you, we literally giggled, screamed and cheered for the wonderful attendees who battled over this prize! Thank you Thank you Thank you– we are all so pleased to be supporting such a wonderful cause.
Tonight is the Kitsap Humane Society “Animal Krackers Gala”!! This fundraising auction proves to quite the event, and of course, all in the name of keeping this awesome and dedicated organization up and running smoothly. (Because they are not State-assisted, events like this one, and other donations, are the only way they can pay their bills!!)
We have donated Pet Sitting, Pet Massage and of course, Pet Portrait Sittings. The Humane Society has honored us by asking us to shoot the cover of next year’s Animal Krackers Auction Catalog, as well as the cover of their 2006 Calendar, so those prize positions will be included with the photo shoots we have donated! Think your Puppy’s a Pin-Up, or your Kitty is a Calendar girl? GO BID ON THOSE SHOOTS 
Today, Gila Kurtz, owner of Good Dog Academy joined our roster for the October 29th “Yappy HOWLoween” party. Gila offers multiple dog obedience classes through Poulsbo Parks & Rec, and in addition to being on hand at the event to answer questions, she has donated a one hour behavioral consultation to our prizes for the evening! Don’t forget, the big party is only a couple weeks away… Have you picked out your dog’s costume yet!?
