2009 Holiday Portrait Events

Hello friends!

Well now that Halloween has come and gone (even just barely) and it’s OFFICIALLY November – it’s time to start getting busy with holiday madness (yes, already!)

I just wanted to take this opportunity to let you know about some exciting events we have coming up, during which you can join us for some fine portraits at fun events! As always our photo packages start at only $25 for these “mini-sittings” – this year we’ve added some Holiday Card options as well as the ability to purchase High-Res images to make unlimited prints and cards.

You will find us + these great and timely deals at:

Barkz in Kirkland, WA — November 8th, 11-4 { visit the Barkz website for pricing and full details}

Starbucks in Seattle, WA — November 21st, 10-2 { this is only available to Starbucks partners }

Barkz in Kirkland, WA — December 6th, 11-4 { visit the Barkz website for pricing and full details}

We hope to see you and your fabulous canines at one or ALL of these upcoming events – keep in mind, all photos will be back in time for holiday gift-giving! What is a better present than fine-art pet portraits?  Want to give the experience as a gift? Consider a dane + dane gift certificate.

We would also like to remind you that all of the dogs we photograph go into our “Doggy Database” – and we have some exciting commercial projects on the horizon in 2010 so make sure we’ve met your pup – he could be the next dane + dane super model ;)

Thriftway CityDog Cover Dog Model Search

I would like to introduce you to Xavier – my new favorite dog model in the whole world. I have officially placed this image on my desktop to make me smile. I invite you to do the same.

I was lucky enough to meet Xavier at Thriftway at the CityDog Magazine Cover Dog Model Search Aug. 16th – It was a fab event.

In addition to the search for the next cover dog, with all the entrance fees going to the Doney Memorial Clinic, we collected donations of pet food for the West Seattle Food Bank.

We had a RECORD turnout of 117 dogs, up from 40 something last year – way to go West Seattle!! We were able to contribute over $1000 to the Doney clinic and of course we had a lot of fun in the sun. Check out the blurb about us on the West Seattle Blog.

To see all the dogs that came out to try for their chance at the Cover, check out the dane + dane gallery.

To learn more about CityDog visit them here or follow the CityDog blog or follow CityDog on  Twitter to find out when the next Cover Dog event is, and if you can make it to the next event to enter your dog in the contest!!

I should also mention that during their “Dog Days of Summer” – Thriftway chose Dog is Good as their retailer of choice to provide tees and hats for all their staff as well as items to sell to benefit the Seattle King County Humane Society – Woof!  Thanks Thriftway!

Lucky Love Dog!

January 31st we spent the day at Lucky Dog Outfitters in Tacoma shooting some Valentine’s Day portraits.

This is our third event at Lucky Dog and they get more and more fun every time!

If you are available tomorrow night, February 11th – join us at the W Hotel in Seattle for the CityDog Muttmixer!  We will be shooting fun “photo booth” Valentine’s Day portraits, there will be swag bags and some very exciting surprises!! Join us: 6-8pm, 4th/Seneca St. – Seattle.

CityDog ArtWalk is a ROMPING success!

CityDog Magazine’s First Annual Dog Friendly ArtWalk as wonderful as could possibly be imagined! Tails were wagging from 5pm to 9pm with a steady stream of art loving canines and their humans in tow.

There was a great little bit on Evening Magazine about the event and it was covered in lots of local media so we were not at a loss for people to talk to!

the dane + dane crew was on the scene featuring some fab framed artwork, and also taking our acclaimed on-the-spot portraits of Spot (and a few Daisies and some Baileys too!)

Click here to view more photos from the event.

Thanks to CityDog Magazine, Dry Soda, and all the other wonderful artists who participated!
