Although I consider myself a pet photographer, I get joy from documenting just about any moment in life that is rich with meaning – artistic, sentimental or otherwise. I also enjoy fun. Fun with my camera, fun with pets AND other humans, fun in foreign places.
There seem to be few days in a person’s life more rich with meaningful moments {and fun} than that of their wedding.
It is the pursuit of memorable days and couples like these that has inclined me to photograph a handful of weddings every year. Along with my colleague Amelia Soper, I am annually charmed by 3 or 4 couples into documenting their wedding. Usually for a weekend or more, and primarily in very cool places {so far in addition to nearly all the quintessential Northwest venues, one or both of us has shot couples + weddings in Africa, Mexico, Vegas, Miami, Canada and London}. These events are always the highlight of my year. The images always speak for themselves.
