J.Nichole is my name on paper, but most people call me Nichole. I am the founder of, and lead photographer + designer at dane + dane studios. In case you're wondering, the J stands for Jessica.

My daily studio routine typically includes rolling around on the floor with a dog or two, answering a Dane's share of email, editing photographs, working on web or design projects (typically more than one at a time), scoping out cool ideas for my next article and more often than not, attempting to get some sketches, stock shots or client calls taken care of at the dog park while Olivia leaps, chases, barks and shakes drool all over me.

As you can imagine, the glitz and glamour of our life together can be overwhelming.

Really though, the most important thing for you to know about me, is that I am absolutely infatuated with my job. I love my work and I strive to infuse every bit of it with the passion and inspiration that defines me. From behind the lens to behind the computer, rainy days and sunny, in sickness and in health, till death do us part, I am truly blessed to do what I love for a living.

My specialty is the ability to present to you through exquisite photographs and/or design what you could not verbalize, with the intent to ultimately exceed all of your hopes and expectations. It's a simple goal, right?
